High Aspect Ratio
Electron Beam Drilling allows aspect ratios (depth to width) of
up to 25:1. Typical sizes are:
- .004" holes in .105" 316SS
- .006" holes in .165" 316SS
The process is not sensitive to material hardness. Holes of these
sizes are commonly drilled in titanium, inconel, chrome, and related
super alloys.
